The wife of a Long Island man who was violently killed inside an MRI room is breaking her silence—and pointing the finger at the medical technician she says is responsible for the horrifying tragedy.
Keith McAllister, 61, had only stepped into the MRI suite to help his wife off the table. Seconds later, he was ripped into the active machine by the metal training chain around his neck, in a scene his wife says she’ll never be able to erase from her mind.
“He went limp in my arms,” Adrienne Jones-McAllister told News 12 Long Island in an emotional interview. “And that moment is still pulsating in my brain.”
The incident unfolded Wednesday afternoon at Nassau Open MRI in Westbury, New York. Adrienne had just finished her own MRI scan for a knee issue and asked the technician on duty to bring in her husband for help getting off the table. That, she says, was the fatal mistake.
Keith—still wearing a 20-pound metal chain he frequently used for strength training—entered the room. That’s when everything changed.
