Trump administration rips Dems’ MS-13 field trip – and guess who picked up the tab

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt has criticized Senator Chris Van Hollen for his taxpayer-funded trip to El Salvador to meet with Kilmar Abrego Garcia, a deported individual the administration alleges is affiliated with the MS-13 gang. Leavitt labeled Garcia as an “illegal alien, a foreign terrorist, and a criminal MS-13 gang member,” asserting that his deportation was justified.

Senator Van Hollen, however, contends that his visit was to uphold constitutional due process rights. He emphasized that Garcia’s deportation occurred despite a court order protecting him from removal, and that the administration had acknowledged it as an “administrative error.”
