Girlfriend of Pennsylvania Dentist Who Killed Wife on Safari Breaks Her Silence from Jail in New Interview

The longtime girlfriend of Pennsylvania dentist Larry Rudolph, convicted of murdering his wife during a 2016 Zambian safari, is speaking out from behind bars—insisting she had no part in the plot that ended in blood and betrayal.

Lori Milliron, who began an affair with Rudolph in 2002 while working at his dental practice, was found guilty of perjury, obstruction, and being an accessory after the fact in connection to the death of Bianca Rudolph, Larry’s wife of 34 years. Prosecutors said Milliron pressured Rudolph to choose between her and Bianca—and then knowingly stayed with him after he pulled the trigger.

Now serving a 17-year sentence, Milliron breaks her silence in Hulu’s new three-part docuseries Trophy Wife: Murder on Safari, denying any role in the killing.

“There was no ultimatum. Why would I wait 15 years to give him an ultimatum? It just didn’t make sense,” Milliron said during a prison phone call featured in the series. “The police said it was an accident. So I assumed it was an accident too.”

Milliron claims she never intended to get romantically involved with her married boss. “I was reluctant,” she said. “But after a little while, I slowly got to know him. Eventually, I became ‘the girlfriend.’”

Bianca’s death was initially ruled accidental by Zambian authorities. But back in the U.S., federal investigators alleged something far more sinister: that Larry Rudolph killed his wife to cash in on life insurance policies totaling millions.

He was convicted in 2022 and sentenced to life in prison in 2023 on charges of foreign murder and mail fraud. Still, he maintains his innocence.

“I did not kill my wife. I could not murder my wife. I would not murder my wife,” Larry told jurors during his trial.

But one witness said otherwise.

Brian Lovelace, a bartender at a Phoenix steakhouse, told the court he overheard a chilling confession. During a dispute between Larry and Milliron, Lovelace said the music briefly cut out—and in that moment of silence, Rudolph snarled, “I killed my f—— wife for you!”

Despite the damning testimony, both Larry and Lori are appealing their convictions—clinging to claims of innocence as their lives unravel behind prison walls.
