Trump To His Base: Don’t Waste Time On Epstein, ‘Somebody That Nobody Cares About’

In a striking Truth Social post on Saturday, President Donald Trump pleaded with his MAGA base to stop fixating on Jeffrey Epstein, calling the ongoing discussions a distraction and defending Attorney General Pam Bondi amid a wave of backlash.

“What’s going on with my ‘boys’ and, in some cases, ‘gals?’” Trump wrote. “They’re all going after Attorney General Pam Bondi, who is doing a FANTASTIC JOB! We’re on one Team, MAGA, and I don’t like what’s happening.”

Trump was responding to intensifying criticism from far-right commentators and MAGA loyalists, who have been pressuring his Justice Department to release full details surrounding Epstein’s death in 2019, as well as any unredacted names tied to the convicted sex offender’s network.

Former Trump strategist Steve Bannon warned Friday that the issue could cost Trump politically if ignored. “This isn’t just about Epstein — it’s about who really holds power in this country,” Bannon said. “If MAGA feels ignored on this, we could lose 10% of the movement. That’s enough to cost us the House in 2026 — and the presidency.”

In response, Trump doubled down on the competence of his administration and dismissed the renewed focus on Epstein as a distraction.

“We have a PERFECT Administration, THE TALK OF THE WORLD,” Trump declared. “And selfish people are trying to tear it down over a guy who never dies — Jeffrey Epstein. It’s always Epstein, Epstein, Epstein.”

He ended the post with a direct defense of Bondi and a clear message to his supporters: “LET PAM BONDI DO HER JOB — SHE’S GREAT! Let’s keep it that way and stop wasting time and energy on Jeffrey Epstein — someone nobody cares about anymore. Thank you for your attention to this matter!”

The post marks Trump’s most forceful attempt yet to redirect MAGA energy away from the Epstein controversy as political tensions mount ahead of the 2026 midterms and the 2028 presidential cycle.
