“What a shame, and waste of human life. Simply stated, IRAN CAN NOT HAVE A NUCLEAR WEAPON,” Trump posted on Truth Social. “I said it over and over again! Everyone should immediately evacuate Tehran!”
The warning comes amid a rapidly intensifying conflict between Iran and Israel, with both countries launching strikes in recent days. Iranian officials have reportedly reached out to the Trump administration in an attempt to de-escalate and prevent further Israeli retaliation.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed Monday that multiple missiles had been launched from Iran into Israeli territory.
“A short time ago, alerts were activated in several areas of the country following the discovery of missiles launched from Iran into the territory of the State of Israel,” the IDF announced. “The defense systems are working to intercept the threat. You must enter the protected areas upon receiving the alert and remain there until further notice.”
Earlier, Iranian state media reported that the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) had warned of drone and missile attacks set to take place Monday night.
In response to the rising threat level, Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth ordered additional military support to U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM), which oversees U.S. operations in the Middle East.
“Protecting U.S. forces is our top priority, and these deployments are intended to enhance our defensive posture in the region,” Hegseth said in a statement.
As the conflict escalates, President Trump continues to emphasize that Iran must never be allowed to obtain nuclear weapons — a position he has maintained throughout his presidency.
