New information has surfaced following the tragic and unexpected death of Anne Burrell, the beloved celebrity chef and longtime Food Network personality. Burrell, 55, was found dead at her Brooklyn home on the morning of Tuesday, June 17. According to a statement obtained by People magazine, officers from the NYPD’s 76th Precinct responded to a call at approximately 7:50 a.m., where they discovered “an unconscious and unresponsive 55-year-old female” at a Brooklyn residence. Emergency medical personnel arrived shortly after and pronounced the woman dead at the scene. While the NYPD did not immediately release Burrell’s identity, citing ongoing efforts to notify next of kin, the address provided matched that of the Worst Cooks in America star.

Though she is no longer with us, her warmth, spirit, and boundless love remain eternal.”
