U.S. strikes three Iranian nuclear sites, Trump address the nation

President Donald Trump announced Saturday via Truth Social that the United States had “completed a successful attack,” amid rapidly intensifying military actions between Iran and Israel. The president’s statement followed a major overnight development in which Iran launched a wave of missiles at Israel, triggering mass alerts and sending millions of Israeli citizens scrambling to bomb shelters. Remarkably, no casualties were reported from Iran’s barrage.

In response, Israel has continued its targeted strikes on military infrastructure inside Iran, escalating a conflict that shows little sign of easing. President Trump is expected to deliver an address to the nation at 10 p.m. ET tonight, according to a statement on his social media platform.

Diplomatic Deadlock
Efforts to reduce tensions through diplomacy have so far failed. A high-level summit in Geneva on Friday, involving Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and European leaders, ended without progress.

Meanwhile, a tense and unproductive session at the United Nations Security Council saw Iranian and Israeli diplomats exchange sharp accusations but reach no resolution.
