WATCH: Letitia James Has Bizarre Public Meltdown, Claims Trump is Stalking Her

In a speech that quickly shifted from political rally to personal grievance, AG James accused Trump of sending people to her home to intimidate and follow her around New York City. “They got individuals coming to my house, standing outside my house,” she declared, according to the New York Post. “Last Sunday—church Sunday—while I was in church, these individuals were in front of my house, taking pictures and then streaming it, putting it on social media.”

James, who successfully pursued a $454 million civil judgment against Trump and his company earlier this year, claimed that this behavior was pure retaliation. “This isn’t nothing more than a revenge tour!” she exclaimed. “This is nothing more than vindictiveness… because we secured a judgment against him and his family and his company!”

But her claims came at a highly inconvenient time—for her.

Just days after that speech, the FBI reportedly launched an investigation into multiple allegations of mortgage fraud involving James herself. According to federal sources and the New York Post, the allegations suggest James misrepresented the size and use of properties she owns in mortgage applications and government documents, potentially violating federal housing regulations.

Among the claims: Federal Housing Finance Agency Director William Pulte has reportedly accused James of falsely stating that a property had four residential units—qualifying it for federal mortgage relief programs—when in fact it had five units, which would have made it ineligible. She is also said to have designated a Virginia property as her “primary residence”, despite serving full-time in New York—a potential violation of state residency requirements for elected officials.

Her attorney, Abbe David Lowell, pushed back on the allegations, calling them political retaliation orchestrated by Trump. “This seems to be the political retribution that President Trump threatened to impose,” he told The Post. “If prosecutors are truly seeking the truth, we are ready to counter false allegations with factual evidence.”

But critics note that the FBI probe is being driven not by Trump allies, but by career federal investigators—raising questions about the timing and credibility of James’s “stalking” accusations.

Whether the AG is genuinely being harassed or laying the groundwork for a political defense remains unclear. What is certain: a legal and political showdown is brewing, and this time Letitia James may find herself on the receiving end of the courtroom spotlight.
