B-2 Bombers Safely Touch Down After 36-Hour Iran Strike

The White House on Sunday praised the U.S. military for what officials are now calling a “historic and precision-driven operation” after a powerful overnight air campaign struck three of Iran’s most sensitive nuclear enrichment facilities — Fordo, Natanz, and Isfahan — dealing what President Donald Trump has described as a “devastating blow” to the Islamic Republic’s nuclear ambitions.

In a statement released on social media, the White House honored the U.S. armed forces for their role in what is being described as a textbook operation of modern military dominance: “God bless the United States Military — the greatest force for freedom the world has ever known.”

The message came amid widespread domestic and international focus on Operation Midnight Hammer, the stealth offensive carried out Saturday night.

The mission involved seven B-2 Spirit stealth bombers flying thousands of miles and deploying 30,000-pound “bunker-buster” bombs on underground nuclear sites. Simultaneously, Tomahawk cruise missiles launched from U.S. submarines in the region targeted above-ground infrastructure.
