Pam Bondi files motion to release secret Epstein grand jury testimony

Trump Bends to MAGA Pressure — But Offers Limited Transparency

Trump’s decision follows relentless pressure from the MAGA base, which has demanded transparency and the full release of the so-called Epstein files. On Thursday night, Trump broke his silence and wrote on Truth Social:

“Based on the ridiculous amount of publicity given to Jeffrey Epstein, I have asked Attorney General Pam Bondi to produce any and all pertinent Grand Jury testimony, subject to Court approval.”

Bondi acted swiftly the next day — but her motion does not include requests to unseal search warrants or other critical documents that could reveal why certain evidence wasn’t seized, or why key materials may no longer exist.

Sources inside the Department of Justice told DailyMail.com that the search warrants are likely “the heart of the case”, and their absence from Friday’s filing raises questions about whether this is a true step toward full transparency or just damage control.

Trump’s Epstein Problem Erupts Again After Birthday Letter Scandal

The timing of Trump’s move is no coincidence. On the same day Bondi filed the motion, the Wall Street Journal published a disturbing 2003 birthday card allegedly sent by Trump to Epstein. The card reportedly included:

  • A hand-drawn sketch of a naked woman

  • A typewritten message reading: “Happy Birthday – and may every day be another wonderful secret.”

  • A squiggly signature reading “Donald” in a spot meant to resemble pubic hair

Trump furiously denied the letter was real and threatened to sue the Journal and owner Rupert Murdoch:

“The Wall Street Journal printed a fake letter, supposedly to Epstein. These are not my words, not the way I talk,” he raged. “Also, I don’t draw pictures.”

“I told Murdoch the letter was a scam — and he printed it anyway. I’m going to sue his a** off!”

White House: No Special Counsel, No Timeline, No Guarantees

Despite the push to unseal some materials, the White House confirmed it will not appoint a special counsel to independently investigate the Epstein saga. Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said the matter remains closed, aligning with DOJ and FBI memos claiming that the Epstein case is over and that no “client list” exists.

This declaration has only deepened the divide inside the MAGA movement, with many accusing the administration of breaking promises to declassify and expose the full extent of Epstein’s powerful connections.

Trump Turns on His Own Base: “Epstein Hoax”

Frustrated by the growing backlash, Trump has begun lashing out — not at Democrats or the media, but at his own supporters.

“My PAST supporters have bought into this bulls**t hook, line, and sinker,” he posted on Wednesday. “Let these weaklings continue to do the Democrats’ work. I don’t want their support anymore!”

The shift is stark. Just months ago, Trump and Bondi were vowing to deliver “the truth” about Epstein. Now, the president is openly dismissing the entire story as a distraction, labeling it the “Jeffrey Epstein hoax” and blaming it on Democratic sabotage.

“Are you still talking about Jeffrey Epstein?” Trump snapped at a reporter earlier this month. “This guy’s been talked about for years. I mean, are people still talking about this creep? That’s unbelievable.”

“It just seems like a desecration,” he added, referencing a recent tragedy in Texas to downplay the scandal.

What Happens Next?

For now, Americans may still be left in the dark. Grand jury materials are incredibly difficult to unseal due to strict legal protections — and Friday’s filing doesn’t even touch the broader scope of evidence many believe is still hidden.

Critics say Trump’s sudden pivot is less about transparency and more about containing a public relations crisis as he ramps up his 2024 campaign — a campaign that, ironically, once promised to “drain the swamp.”
