NY Republican tells Democrat to ‘f— off’ after shocking House floor confrontation

Tensions boiled over on the House floor Thursday as Rep. Mike Lawler, R-N.Y., clashed publicly with fellow New York lawmaker Rep. John Mannion, D-N.Y., in a fiery exchange that briefly disrupted the final vote series of the week. The confrontation erupted when Mannion, visibly agitated, began shouting at Lawler, accusing him of being on the wrong side of the chamber. While members of each party traditionally sit on opposite sides of the House floor, it is not uncommon for lawmakers to cross the aisle or enter through various doors for procedural reasons.
