MetroNews reported that Keyonna was ejected from the vehicle during the crash, while Kingston remained inside. Both were pronounced dead at the scene.
The Mingo County Sheriff’s Office and the West Virginia Chief Medical Examiner have not yet released further details, and the investigation into the cause of the crash remains ongoing.
Those who knew the mother and son described them as inseparable. A family friend told WSAZ that Kingston “had the biggest heart,” and remembered Keyonna as a “go-getter” who devoted herself entirely to her son.
“She loved her son more than anything, and he loved his momma,” the friend shared. “They were best friends.”
As the investigation continues, loved ones are left to grapple with the sudden and tragic loss of two lives taken far too soon.
