Kristi Noem Fires Back at ‘South Park,’ Ignores Most of the Mockery to Focus on Her Looks

Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem responded Thursday to her brutal lampooning in the latest episode of South Park — but instead of addressing the over-the-top parody of her dog-killing scandal and her aggressive immigration policies, she zeroed in on one thing: jokes about her appearance.

Speaking to Glenn Beck, Noem admitted she hadn’t actually watched the episode but claimed she knew enough to accuse the show’s creators of lazy sexism.

“It never ends. But it’s so lazy to just constantly make fun of women for how they look. It’s always the liberals and extremists [who] do that,” Noem said.

“If they wanted to criticize my job, go ahead and do that, but clearly they can’t. They just pick something petty like that.”

Her defense came despite the fact that President Donald Trump — the political leader she serves under — has a long history of mocking women for their appearances, famously hurling insults like “horseface” and “pig” at female critics.

In reality, South Park’s takedown of Noem went far beyond Botox jokes. The episode skewered her leadership at DHS, especially U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s recruitment and training practices. The storyline follows school counselor Mr. Mackey, who loses his job and signs up for ICE, just in time to witness a series of increasingly absurd raids — many ordered or personally led by Noem herself.

One sequence shows Noem demanding a raid on a “Dora the Explorer Live!” performance. Another depicts her helping ICE agents storm the gates of heaven. Throughout, she is portrayed as repeatedly shooting dogs — including Krypto from the Superman franchise and even a service animal — all while smiling.

The most grotesque gag riffs on a real-life controversy: Noem’s admission that she shot her own puppy years ago. In the episode’s fictional ICE recruitment video, her animated counterpart delivers a chilling message:

“A few years ago, I had to put my puppy down by shooting it in the face because sometimes doing what’s important means doing what’s hard. Now we’ll ask the same determination of you because detaining and questioning people is never easy!”

Her animated face also sags, peels, and in some cases, falls completely off, only to be “repaired” by on-screen makeup crews with instant Botox.

Adding to the irony, the Department of Homeland Security itself earlier this week posted an ICE recruitment ad that used a South Park-style image — apparently unaware the show was about to eviscerate its leadership. After the episode aired, South Park clapped back on X, using the White House’s own phrasing against DHS:

“Wait, so we ARE relevant? #eatabagofdicks”

The trolling didn’t stop there. As of Thursday, the show had set its X profile picture to an unflattering still of Noem’s sagging cartoon face.
