Joy Taylor is OUT at Fox Sports months on from bombshell s–x lawsuit

Joy Taylor is officially parting ways with Fox Sports after nearly a decade, as the network moves to cancel three underperforming programs, including her own talk show Speak, according to a report by The Athletic.

Taylor, 38, co-hosted Speak on FS1 alongside former NFL standout Keyshawn Johnson and NBA legend Paul Pierce. The show, along with Breakfast Ball and The Facility, failed to gain significant traction with viewers and is now being scrapped as part of a broader programming shake-up.

The decision comes on the heels of a turbulent period for Taylor, who was named in a lawsuit earlier this year by a former Fox employee. The suit accused her of leveraging personal relationships within the company to advance her career and alleged she dismissed concerns raised by a colleague about s-xual misconduct involving top Fox Sports executive Charlie Dixon. Taylor has denied the claims.

Her contract, which expired this year, will not be renewed.

Despite the controversy, Taylor continued hosting both Speak and her podcast Two Personal, where she made headlines with candid remarks about her personal life. Her departure now marks the end of a long run with Fox, during which she became a prominent voice in sports broadcasting.

Two weeks ago, Taylor opened up publicly about the emotional toll the lawsuit and scrutiny have taken on her. Speaking on The Breakfast Club, she described enduring “dark times,” grief, and emotional trauma.

“I won’t say there weren’t dark times,” she admitted. “But I’m blessed to have amazing family, friends, mentors, and a team that reminded me of who I am and what I deserve.”

She added: “It’s a grief process. And you can’t always define yourself in the middle of it. I’m trying to be patient and gentle with myself as I navigate this new reality.”

Despite the fallout, Taylor said she made a conscious choice to remain visible and continue working. “It was intentional to show up as I did,” she said. “When you know yourself, it’s easier to keep showing up as you are.”

As Fox Sports sunsets Speak and its two other morning shows, the network will keep The Herd with Colin Cowherd and First Things First with Nick Wright, Chris Broussard, and Kevin Wildes. New shows are reportedly in development to fill the programming gaps.

DailyMail.com has reached out to Taylor’s representatives for comment on her departure.

Taylor, a recognizable on-air personality with a loyal fan base, has not announced her next move. However, she hinted in the same Breakfast Club interview that her story is far from over: “What’s meant for me is still coming.”
