The story begins on the evening of Saturday, June 14, when officers from Twin City, Georgia, responded to a domestic disturbance call around 9:30 p.m. What they discovered inside the residence would spark a wave of shock and questions that remain unanswered.
Inside the home, 27-year-old Zaria Khadejah Carr was found unconscious. Despite efforts to revive her, she was pronounced dead shortly afterward. Her husband, Shamarcus Jameal Carr, 36, was nowhere to be found — and neither was her car.
