Maxwell: “There Was Never a List”
Maxwell’s brother Ian told The Spectator that the family was not surprised by Bondi’s backpedaling, claiming Ghislaine had long denied the existence of any client list.
“My sister has always maintained there was never such a thing,” he said. “If you prick a conspiracy, the balloon goes down. People wonder why they’ve been fooled.”
Ian also took a swipe at Elon Musk and other social media figures, accusing them of breathing life into conspiracy theories that created unrealistic expectations. “They gave it tremendous currency,” he said, “and it turned into a problem for the president himself.”
Despite Trump’s public insistence that his name appears nowhere in the Epstein records, whispers persist. Meanwhile, Kash Patel—now in a senior role at the FBI—has declined to investigate Musk’s claim that Trump was in the files, saying only that he would “stay in his lane.”
Ironically, this reluctance from a man who once vowed to expose every Epstein-related conspiracy has created further mistrust.
Did Epstein Die by Suicide? Maxwell’s Family Still Thinks Not
The Epstein saga is not only about alleged sex crimes but also about the circumstances of his death.
The FBI and DOJ recently released 11 hours of surveillance footage taken from the Metropolitan Correctional Center in the days surrounding Epstein’s death. The footage showed no unauthorized personnel entering the area, and the conclusion from investigators echoed that of the coroner: suicide by hanging.
Still, Ghislaine Maxwell remains unconvinced. Ian Maxwell reiterated his sister’s view that Epstein was murdered—possibly via “internal killing,” suggesting Epstein may have paid someone inside the prison to end his life.
The Last Word
Bondi’s office has now closed the book on Epstein, declaring no further charges will be filed. But for Maxwell’s legal team and an increasingly restless base of Trump supporters, the story is far from over.
Whether Maxwell’s appeal finds success or not, the political fallout continues to grow. For the MAGA faithful, the Epstein scandal was supposed to be the ultimate symbol of elite corruption—a swamp finally drained.
Instead, it’s becoming a case study in broken promises, murky allegiances, and rising disillusionment with the very movement they once believed would deliver justice.
