Ghislaine Maxwell answered ‘every single question’ during secret meeting with Trump’s DOJ amid Epstein ‘cover-up’ claims

“Miss Maxwell answered every single question. She never stopped. She never invoked a privilege. She never declined to answer. She answered all the questions truthfully, honestly, and to the best of her ability.”

Blanche arrived at the low-security federal prison early Thursday morning for the interview, which lasted the entire day. This marks the first time any DOJ administration has formally questioned Maxwell since her 2021 conviction — a fact Blanche confirmed in a Tuesday statement:

“That changes now.”

MAGA Demands Action — But Many Cry Foul
The meeting comes amid growing anger from Trump’s base over what they see as foot-dragging on Epstein. Trump campaigned on exposing the full Epstein network, yet so far no new revelations have emerged — and supporters are demanding results.

Maxwell is also set to testify before Congress on August 11, though skepticism is rising that the DOJ’s sudden interest may be more about damage control than justice.

Democratic Senator Richard Blumenthal slammed the private prison meeting as a “secret deal in the making,” warning that the Trump DOJ may offer Maxwell a quiet pardon in exchange for testimony favorable to the former president.

“This is a cover-up in motion,” Blumenthal declared.

Epstein Files Investigation Backlash
Earlier this month, the DOJ and FBI jointly released a heavily criticized memo concluding their Epstein review had found no new evidence, no client list, and no foul play in Epstein’s 2019 death, ruling it a suicide.

The conclusion sparked outrage across MAGA circles, with some accusing Attorney General Bondi and the FBI of whitewashing the case. Conservative firebrand Laura Loomer called Bondi “Blondi” and accused her of playing for the cameras.

“Why wasn’t this interview done on Day 1?” she posted on X. “Shouldn’t this have already happened?”

Others questioned whether Maxwell had already cut a deal behind closed doors.

Trump, frustrated by the fallout, took to Truth Social to label the situation the “Epstein hoax”, blaming Democrats for fueling division and conspiracy theories. He later ordered Bondi to request the unsealing of grand jury testimony from the Southern District of New York.

Still, Deputy AG Blanche insists the July 6 DOJ memo “remains accurate” — saying no new charges are imminent based on the department’s current findings.

A Path to a Deal?
Maxwell’s legal team is now openly negotiating with the DOJ about further testimony. Markus told CNN:

“We are in discussions with the government, and Ghislaine will always testify truthfully. We are grateful to President Trump for his commitment to uncovering the truth.”

The move comes after her attorneys filed a petition with the Supreme Court arguing she should never have been charged, citing Epstein’s 2008 plea deal. Though the DOJ recently opposed that request, Maxwell’s team has made clear she’s seeking sentence reduction or possible absolution.

Critics warn that if Maxwell implicates Trump allies, her testimony could be buried. But if it protects him, she might walk.

“The truth is in the files, not from Maxwell,” warned attorney and commentator Ron Filipkowski.

Despite swirling accusations and deepening distrust among Trump’s base, Blanche doubled down Tuesday:

“If Ghislaine Maxwell has information about anyone who has committed crimes against victims, the FBI and DOJ will hear what she has to say. No one is above the law — and no lead is off-limits.”

Still, for many, the damage is already done, and the interview feels less like accountability — and more like a Mafia-style negotiation behind closed doors.
