Just weeks after their high-profile split, Orlando Bloom appears to be leaning into his single status with a jet-setting streak of parties, while ex-fiancée Katy Perry battles heartache on the other side of the globe.
The Pirates of the Caribbean star, 48, has been spotted living it up across Italy—first as a VIP guest at Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez’s $50 million wedding extravaganza in Venice, and then aboard a luxury yacht surrounded by A-listers. Meanwhile, Perry, 40, is continuing her Lifetimes world tour in Australia, where sources say she’s been left deeply “disappointed” by Bloom’s post-breakup behavior.
“It’s hurtful and annoying,” a source close to Perry told the Daily Mail. “If he’s going to act like a rebellious teenager, that’s on him. Katy is focused on her career and taking care of Daisy.”
While Perry has chosen to keep her head down, insiders say she’s seen the headlines—and she’s not thrilled. “She hoped he’d carry himself with a little more discretion and thoughtfulness,” the source added. “She’s disappointed and sad.”
Bloom, who had been with Perry since 2016, has been photographed enjoying himself alongside a rotating cast of models and influencers. Among the more talked-about moments: a dance-filled night with Kendall Jenner, Naomi Campbell, Sofia Vergara, and Heidi Klum aboard Bezos’ superyacht, and a cozy water taxi chat with none other than Leonardo DiCaprio’s girlfriend, Vittoria Ceretti, shortly after the wedding weekend wrapped up.
From the yacht deck, Bloom went straight to the 794-foot Luminara—Ritz-Carlton’s ultra-exclusive cruise liner—for its inaugural voyage from Rome. His social calendar may be packed, but his Instagram hints at something deeper. In recent days, Bloom has shared a series of cryptic, philosophical quotes with his 7 million followers, seemingly reflecting on the emotional aftermath of the split.
“Loneliness does not come from having no people about one, but from being unable to communicate the things that seem important to oneself,” he wrote, quoting Carl Jung. Another post read: “Even a happy life cannot be without a measure of darkness…”
He followed it up with a quote from Buddha: “Each day is a new beginning. What we do today is what matters most.”
But those close to Perry aren’t buying it.
“He’s smart enough to know that this wild partying isn’t a good look,” the insider remarked. “But no number of quotes from Jung or Buddha can undo what he’s out there doing.”
At the time their breakup became public, sources described the split as “amicable” and “not contentious.” One source told Us Weekly: “Katy is of course upset but relieved not to go through another divorce. That was the worst time in her life.”
Perry was previously married to British comedian Russell Brand, with the couple divorcing in 2012.
Despite the public nature of Bloom’s new lifestyle, Perry is reportedly doing her best to stay centered and focused.
“She wishes him well,” the friend said. “But she’s ready to move forward.”
