Jelly Roll might be a rising star, but at home, his bad habits are a different kind of headline.
During an appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show, the 40-year-old singer—real name Jason DeFord—admitted to one messy routine that drives his wife, Bunnie XO, up the wall.
“I feel bad for her,” he confessed, before revealing, “I leave a trail of clothes from the front door all the way to the shower.” Cue groans and laughter from the crowd as Jelly Roll owned up to the chaos. “I’ve been trying to break this habit, y’all. It annoys her to no end.”
Fellow guest and American Idol judge Luke Bryan chimed in with his own domestic faux pas: snoring and leaving a wet coffee spoon on the counter. “Worse than snoring,” he joked.
But it wasn’t Jelly Roll’s laundry trail that caused a social media storm—it was that viral video from UFC 309, where he was caught picking his nose behind Donald Trump, Elon Musk, and Kid Rock. Internet detectives claimed he ate it.
Bunnie XO wasn’t having it. On her Dumb Blonde podcast, she defended her man with a mix of sass and sincerity: “He has a little tic, OK? When he’s nervous, he picks his nose. He didn’t eat it. He rolled it and flicked it. Maybe touched his mouth—whatever!”
And to the haters? “We’re dirtbags. We own it. Let the man eat his damn booger,” she joked, while reminding everyone that her husband spends his days helping others and doing real good in the world.
Despite the quirks, Jelly Roll and Bunnie XO’s love story is solid. The couple met in 2015 and eloped a year later during a Deftones concert. Today, they’re one of country music’s most talked-about—and real—couples.
