A group of Democratic senators introduced legislation Tuesday that would prohibit Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents from wearing face masks while on duty, including during raids and arrests of undocumented migrants.
The bill follows the release of video footage showing ICE agents arresting migrants while concealing their identities—often wearing plain clothes with no visible indication they were federal officers, The Guardian reported.
