According to defense experts and intelligence reports, intense preparations are already underway for a significant escalation in the Middle East. Jon Hoffman, a defense and foreign policy research fellow at the Cato Institute, told the New York Post that a clash feels increasingly inevitable.
“Trump has refused to back down from his maximalist demands in negotiations,” Hoffman warned, adding that “Iran won’t negotiate away its leverage.”
The administration’s readiness was mirrored by Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, who confirmed that a comprehensive escalation roadmap is already locked in place.
