Nearly ten days after the gruesome discovery of a mother and her two children murdered in their Alabama home, authorities have arrested a suspect.
The Mobile County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest of William Graham Oliver, 54, on April 28 in connection with the deaths of Lisa Ferguson (46), Keziah Luker (17), and Thomas Cordelle (11).
The Crime Scene
On April 19, the three victims were found in separate rooms of their Wilmer, Alabama, residence. According to investigators:
-
All three victims had their arms bound behind their backs.
-
Lisa Ferguson and Thomas Cordelle died from slit throats; authorities noted the 11-year-old had been nearly decapitated.
-
Keziah Luker, who was eight months pregnant, died from a gunshot wound.
-
An 18-month-old child—belonging to Keziah—was found alive and unharmed at the scene.
The Discovery
The investigation was triggered by Keziah’s boyfriend, who was out of the country at the time. Concerned when his messages went unanswered, he asked his father to check the home. Upon arrival, the father discovered the bodies and the surviving toddler.
Remembering the Victims
The family has been described by loved ones as kind and vibrant. Katherine Ayer, Ferguson’s sister, remembered Lisa as an “amazing person,” Thomas as a “sweet child,” and Keziah as a “fun-loving mom.”
A GoFundMe has been established to support Ferguson’s surviving son. While jail records confirm Oliver’s arrest, the sheriff’s office has not yet provided further details regarding a motive.

A neighbor of the suspect expressed total shock at the arrest, describing William Graham Oliver as a “nice, unassuming” family man. Mark Coleman told NBC 15 that Oliver appeared to be a devoted father to his three sons and maintained a good relationship with his wife and mother, who lived with him.
Legal Status and Investigation
-
Charges: Oliver faces eight counts of capital murder.
-
Motive: During a press briefing, the sheriff stated that investigators are aware of a possible motive but declined to share details.
-
Relationship: Authorities confirmed the suspect was acquainted with the victims.
As of the latest reports, it is unclear if Oliver has entered a plea, denied the charges, or retained legal representation.
