Bill Barr Teamed With DA Fani Willis On Trump-RICO Case: Report

Report: Former AG Bill Barr Allegedly Collaborated with DA Fani Willis on Trump-RICO Case

William Barr, who served as U.S. Attorney General during Donald Trump’s first term, reportedly worked closely with Fulton County, Georgia District Attorney Fani Willis—the Democrat who filed RICO charges related to the 2020 election against Trump and 18 others—in a coordinated effort to prevent Trump’s political comeback.

According to whistleblower Patrícia Lélis, who worked at media personality Armstrong Williams’s PR firm, Barr and Willis conspired behind the scenes, plotting legal strategies aimed at derailing Trump’s 2024 presidential bid. Lélis alleges she attended “dozens” of secret meetings between 2021 and 2023 in Washington, D.C., involving Barr, Willis, Williams, and other figures.

Lélis provided Project Veritas with extensive handwritten notes from these meetings. One notable gathering on September 6, 2021, included Barr and CNN commentator Shermichael Singleton, where they reportedly crafted a media strategy designed to complement the Congressional January 6 investigation.

Her notes claim Barr identified key targets to be pursued, including Steve Bannon, Rudy Giuliani, Stewart Rhodes, Enrique Tarrio, Jeffrey Clark, as well as groups like the Oath Keepers and Proud Boys—most of whom later faced subpoenas to testify before the January 6 committee. This suggests Barr’s ongoing influence after publicly distancing himself from Trump.

Photographs from March 15, 2022, show Barr entering Sinclair Broadcast Group for a meeting with Willis and federal prosecutor Jack Smith, who was preparing charges against Trump related to alleged mishandling of classified documents at Mar-a-Lago. Lélis’s notes even capture Barr predicting an FBI raid on Trump’s Florida residence—an event that occurred five months later.

Further notes reveal that on January 19, 2023, Barr and Willis planned another meeting, which took place on February 27, 2023. According to Lélis, Barr advised Willis to pursue racketeering charges (RICO) against Trump, calling it “a very difficult type of charge to defend,” thereby increasing the likelihood of a successful prosecution.

Several co-defendants in the case eventually pleaded guilty in exchange for testifying against Trump and others, signaling a strategic win for Willis’s office as the case progressed.

Lélis maintains that the core goal of these coordinated efforts was to block Trump from regaining the presidency. She stated, “Bill Barr and Armstrong and all the politicians, they’re very focused on how to stop Trump.”

Moreover, the campaign extended beyond legal maneuvers. Lélis alleges Willis collaborated with a social media team to generate “anti-Trump” content aimed at swaying public opinion in favor of the prosecution.

If true, these revelations underscore the complexity and intensity of the legal and political battles surrounding Donald Trump’s post-presidential years, highlighting the blurred lines between law enforcement, politics, and media influence.
