U.S. Launches Voluntary Self-Deportation Program Offering Flights and Stipends

The initiative offers undocumented immigrants the option to leave the United States with free commercial airfare and a $1,000 stipend upon verified departure.

Program Overview
According to DHS, the program aims to significantly reduce the cost of deportations—by as much as 70%—compared to traditional enforcement methods. Eligible migrants must register through the CBP One mobile app. The $1,000 stipend is issued only after the individual’s departure has been confirmed.
