Video shows mom-of-five’s final sighting with alleged killer before she was executed in chilling desert murder

Shocking new video footage has breathed fresh life into the cold case investigation of Alisha Marie Hale, a 34-year-old mother-of-five who was found murdered in the Arizona desert in 2021. The Phoenix Police Department released the footage this week, providing investigators and the public with the most significant lead in four years.

Hale—also known by her married name, Alisha Bellotte—was discovered dead on the morning of June 3, 2021, near Interstate 10 and Baseline Road in a remote stretch of desert. She had been shot, and detectives later determined that the killing occurred the previous day.

Now, newly obtained surveillance video may be the key to finally solving the case.

Last Known Moments Captured

The chilling footage, compiled from multiple surveillance angles, shows Hale in a silver Dodge RAM pickup truck with an unidentified man. The vehicle is seen speeding down a dirt canal road. Moments later, the truck comes to a stop, and two figures exit—one believed to be Hale, the other a male estimated to be between 5’9” and 6 feet tall.

Although the video is grainy, the pair appears to have a brief conversation before walking out of frame. Just two minutes later, only the man returns to the truck, which then speeds away from the scene.

Roughly 24 hours later, Hale’s lifeless body was found nearby.

No Suspects, But New Leads Emerging

Despite the breakthrough footage, no suspects have been named. Authorities continue to investigate and are pleading with the public to come forward with any information.

“We’re not going to stop,” said Sgt. Brian Bower of the Phoenix Police Department. “We are going to continue looking for this person.”

Detectives also revealed that Hale was last seen wearing a long-sleeved black-and-white striped dress—another detail they hope could jog someone’s memory.

“We know what happened,” said Detective Kevin Ham, “we just would like to know why. Sometimes people who didn’t want to come forward in the past feel more comfortable now.”

A reward of up to $2,000 is being offered for any information that leads to an arrest.

A Life Cut Short

Hale was a licensed phlebotomist and a devoted mother to five children: Emma, Chris, Natalie, Corbyn, and Conner. According to her obituary, she was born on February 15, 1987, in Phoenix to Melissa Smith and the late David Hale, but was lovingly raised by Dale Scott, described as “the best dad any child could ask for.”

She graduated from Maryvale High School in 2005 and left behind a large network of friends and loved ones who have waited years for justice.

The Phoenix Police Department urges anyone with information to contact them directly or reach out anonymously to Silent Witness. Even the smallest detail could help crack the case that has haunted Hale’s family for nearly half a decade.
