Bill Cosby Breaks Silence on TV Son’s Shock Death

The entertainment world is reeling from the sudden and heartbreaking death of actor Malcolm-Jamal Warner, who tragically drowned at age 54 while vacationing with his family in Costa Rica. Among those most deeply affected is Bill Cosby, Warner’s longtime co-star and TV father on the groundbreaking sitcom The Cosby Show.

Cosby’s spokesperson, Andrew Wyatt, told The Post that the 87-year-old comedian is “devastated” by the loss and spoke with Cosby Show co-star Phylicia Rashad shortly after learning the news. The two reminisced about Warner, who played Theo Huxtable, Cliff and Clair Huxtable’s only son on the beloved NBC series.

“While I was their TV dad, I never stopped being a father to them,” Cosby reportedly said, reflecting on his enduring bond with Warner and the rest of the cast.

Wyatt said the news struck Cosby especially hard, as he had recently lost a childhood friend — adding another layer of grief to what he described as Cosby feeling like “everybody’s leaving.”
