Horrifying update in death of Dog the Bounty Hunter’s grandson, 13, after teen was shot by his father

Heartbreaking new details have emerged following the untimely death of 13-year-old Anthony Zecca, grandson of Dog the Bounty Hunter star Duane Chapman.

The young boy was tragically shot and killed by his own father, 38-year-old Gregory Zecca — the son of Chapman’s wife, Francie — in what authorities have described as a devastating accidental shooting.

The incident occurred Saturday evening inside the family’s apartment in Naples, Florida. According to a police report obtained by DailyMail.com from the Collier County Sheriff’s Office, Anthony suffered a single, fatal gunshot wound to the neck, just above the sternum. There was no exit wound.

When emergency responders arrived shortly after 8:08 p.m. ET, the teenager had already lost a significant amount of blood. First responders administered CPR, chest compressions, and applied a chest seal in a desperate effort to save his life — but Anthony was pronounced dead at 8:21 p.m.

The firearm involved in the incident was reportedly found resting on the kitchen island when deputies entered the residence.
