Dozens Of Democrats Got Arrested After Storming The Capitol!! Watch the Dramatic Protest

Despite the aggressive and arguably unlawful nature of the intrusion, several Democratic lawmakers seized the moment to praise the demonstrators, drawing swift and intense backlash online. Critics accused Democrats of blatant hypocrisy, especially in light of the party’s ongoing framing of the January 6 Capitol riot as an unprecedented threat to democracy.

A viral post on X (formerly Twitter) shared footage of the protest with the sarcastic caption:

“HAPPENING NOW: Democrat boomers are staging an insurrection and attempting to push their way through Capitol Police at the Rayburn House Office Building.”

The clip, which showed activists chanting and physically pressing against security barriers, instantly reignited a fierce online debate. Commenters flooded the thread, highlighting what they saw as a glaring double standard in the treatment of left-wing demonstrators compared to January 6 participants.

“Interesting that they can do this and not get shot (like Ashli Babbitt), not get arrested (like J6ers), and not be labeled ‘insurrectionists’ (like Trump supporters). Enough of this nonsense — arrest them all,” one user posted.

Another user echoed the sentiment:

“Looks a lot like J6. Has anyone seen Ray Epps? Where’s the scaffold commander? Are Capitol Police firing rubber bullets and tear gas into the crowd yet?”

Others mocked the hyperbolic rhetoric often used by liberal politicians and media figures when discussing January 6:

“I’m literally shaking right now. This is a direct attack on our democracy. We must lock them up for life! Am I doing this right?”

“This is the worst day in American history!! It’s the new Pearl Harbor! Worse than 9/11! The country is under siege by elderly insurrectionists trying to overthrow the government!”

Some pushed back on the substance of the protest itself, accusing the demonstrators of spreading misinformation about Republican budget proposals:

“They’re pretending Republicans are slashing Medicare. In reality, the GOP is targeting waste, fraud, and abuse. These folks are lying — like they always do — and getting celebrated for it.”

One of the most controversial moments came when Senator Cory Booker (D-NJ) reportedly thanked the protesters, referring to them as “brave Americans standing up for our most vulnerable.” That remark triggered a fresh wave of outrage online, with one user summing up the frustration:

“Sen. Cory Booker thanks arrested insurrectionists for obstructing government operations. Meanwhile, the left still obsesses over January 6, while actively encouraging trespass, violence, and political intimidation when it suits their narrative. Are we all seeing the game now?”

As the dust settles from yet another Capitol protest, critics are calling for consistency and accountability — not only in how law enforcement responds to such disruptions but in how politicians frame these events to the public. For many, the selective outrage and political theater surrounding these protests are further proof that principles are taking a backseat to partisanship.
