Delta passengers’ 85 seconds of terror as jet NOSE DIVES towards ground… throwing them into the air and leaving 25 in hospital

Passengers on a Delta flight from Salt Lake City to Amsterdam say they feared for their lives after the aircraft suddenly plunged more than 1,500 feet mid-flight, hurling people and beverage carts into the air before making an emergency landing.

Delta Flight 56 had been in the air for just two hours on Wednesday when violent turbulence struck, forcing the pilots to divert to Minneapolis–St. Paul International Airport at around 5:30 p.m. At least 25 people were hurt, with injuries ranging from broken bones to fractured ribs.
